the Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is my primary therapeutic tool. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, exposure therapy, and others. Elements of these other modalities are often useful to clients along the way.

IFS enables deep processing and healing through connecting people to their “core self,” that place inside every human being where curiosity, calmness, confidence, creativity and other useful qualities abide. Through this connection, clients can become their own source of inner growth, emotional regulation, and wellbeing. That is true freedom!

Georgia Licensure requires all therapists to obtain 32 hours of continuing education every two years—a great opportunity for education in a wide range of topics!

In my practice, I’ve chosen to anchor my continuing education with full training in the following therapies through the originating bodies. These modalities have been proven to produce scientifically valid and reliable results:
